  •  Holy cow, I kind of forgot about this place.  Things have been really crazy lately.  But its been fun.  Its cabin season, so the weekends have been spent up north.  My mom bought a new boat which we picked up last Friday, I can finally learn to waterski!  Scott and I are taking ballroom dance lessons, which is way fun.  I love learning new things, and it gets us out of the house a few nights a week.  The business is going well, the last two months were pretty good production wise, now we just have to keep it up.  Scott sold his house (I know, its a miracle) so we've been slowly moving him out and into my small house.  Last night we packed up the garage, I never knew that someone could collect so much stuff in 5 years!  Wedding plans are coming along, finally picked out all the music for the ceremony and we completed our premarriage retreat.  Still have lots to do though.  I'm doing a mini remodel in my kitchen, adding a dishwasher (finally) and rearranging some cabinets.  Using up previous wasted space.  Since Scott and I are doing everything ourself, the project takes longer so the kitchen is kind of a mess right now, but it'll sure be nice to have a dishwasher!

So thats my life in a nutshell right now.  I got a new lens for my camera, so here are some pictures I took last weekend

  •  So the trip to Bayfield was great.  Relaxing and fun.  We needed some time away, especially in the midst of wedding planning, my dad and dealing with his lovely sister :)  Here are some pics from the caves, I highly recomend going there, just watch the weather!

We couldn't go too far into the caves because it was so icey.  We didn't have spikes for our boots an we were sliding around alot, go figure!

  • Scott and I are traveling to Bayfield this weekend to hike to the caves.  Usually you have to kayak to see them, but the lake has frozen nicely and now you can get there by foot, which is way cool.  So we made an impromtu decision and booked a room for the night.  The only crappy thing is its going to be cold walking out on that lake, but we've packed all of our warmest stuff, so hopefully we'll be warm enough.  I'll post some pictures when I get back.  We're leaving this afternoon, it'll be fun to get out of town, even if its just for a day or so.

The Minneapolis Trombone Choir concert is this Sunday at 7pm at Judson Church in Minneapolis.  So if you aren't doing anything at that time, you should join us.  The Northwestern College trombone choir will also be there.

My mom called me yesterday, my dad and her had a meeting with dad's oncologist and they decided to start hospice care, which really sucks.  His liver is shutting down and he's in a lot of pain.  He is following almost the exact path that Jason did, so inside I knew it was coming, but you don't like to actually admit to yourself that your dad won't be around much longer.  He most likely won't make it to my wedding.

Speaking of weddings, planning is picking up.  I'll hopefully pick out the bridesmaid dresses this month and then I can get cake and flowers and things.  I'm on a shoe hunt right now because I need those before I can start alterations.  We've also started the marriage prep with the church.  Its kind of nice to have time to talk and get into each other's brains a bit more.

The office is still slow.  I guess everyone is slow.  When the economy drops, people see dentistry as a luxury so they cancel and fail.  How peachy.  I've got quite a few new patients for March which is a welcome change.  I hate sitting around and doing nothing, I'd rather be busy.  Someday...

Scott bought me a pink snowmobile helmet, so now i'm all set up to go out, too bad the snow sucks right now.  My new (used) snowmobile might have to wait another season to be taken out.  Maybe we'll get another crazy snow storm like last year, one can hope...

I think that's all the news i've got for now.  I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

  • When I went to cancel my e-harmony subscription (a long time ago) I sent the story about Scott and I.  Then when we got engaged, I sent them an update with a few pictures.  I got an e-mail today saying that our picture was chosen to be picture of the month!  So follow the link to see us on the e-harmony site!  http://www.eharmony.com/singles/servlet/success

Scott is currently in Montana back country snowmobiling.  We had quite the 'discussion' about this trip.  I just didn't see why he had to spend quite a bit of money to go on a vacation that we both couldn't enjoy together.  It just irked me.  I forget how lonely it is around the house without him there.  He comes back on Saturday, I miss him.
